He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anita, 4 siblings, 10 nieces and nephews and 21 grand-nephews & nieces.
Donald graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Business Administration.
He served as an officer in the U.S. Army as a Ranger. His military career included a tour in Vietnam.
After attaining the degree of Master of Business Administration in International Management from Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management, Donald launched a successful international business career. Following retirement from international business, he opened his own practice as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Don was a special person, bigger than life, with a great sense of humor and a story for everything. He was known for being well-liked, happy, and congenial with a positive attitude. Don found joy wherever he turned. His generosity touched the lives of many people through numerous helpful gestures of kindness & caring.
In 2000 Donald gave a gift of life by donating one of his kidneys to his eldest sister.
He was a strong supporter & benefactor of the members of the military & always had time to help a fellow veteran.
