Funeral Mass for Donald (Don) Weismann, age 55, of Dickinson will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Todd Kreitinger officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick?s Cemetery Dickinson. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 9 PM with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 7 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home. After a battle with cancer, Don passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009 at his home in Dickinson. Donald (Don) Weismann was born July 23, 1953 in Dickinson, ND to Peter and Charlene (Muller) Weismann. He grew up on the family farm South of Gladstone, ND. He attended grade school at Shipley Country School and later attended and graduated from Lefor High School in 1971. After schooling he worked on the family farm in the summers and worked various jobs in the winter months. In 1980 he took over the farm and continued to work there until 2002. On June 13, 1983, he married Jeannie Stoltz at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Dickinson. To this union their daughter, Kim and son, D. J. were born. Don worked various jobs throughout his life, even while working at the farm. His latest employment was at Dickinson Ready Mix where he had worked since 2003. Don enjoyed the outdoors, he loved hunting and fishing. Don liked to be busy; he was always taking on various projects. Most importantly, Don loved being with his family and friends and really enjoyed time with the family dog, Morgan. He was a member of the Lefor Knights of Columbus where he served as a past board member. He was also a member of the Gladstone Rural Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; daughter, Kim Weismann (husband, Tony Freed), Dickinson; son, D. J. , Dickinson; his mother, Charlene Weismann, Dickinson; two sisters: Rochelle Lefor, Fargo, ND and Lynet (Steve) Steckler, Billings, MT; along with numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter and maternal and paternal grandparents.
