Donna Rae Buckle, 63, of Belfield, ND, formerly of Redding, CA, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at CHI St. Joseph’s Health in Dickinson. According to her wishes, cremation will take place with no services being held at this time. Donna was born September 10, 1952in Omaha, N. E. , the daughter of Henry and Dora (King) Dietz. Donna grew up and attended school in Southern California. It was here that she met and married Bruce Buckle on January 3, 1975 and moved to Redding, C. A. To this union three children were born: Valentine, Amanda, and Nathan. While her children were young she spent time as a school volunteer as well as Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. When they were a little older, she even pursued her B. A. degree, taking courses while they were at school. She cared for her mother who had Alzheimer’s until her passing in 1999. After Bruce passed away in 2002, Donna lost her eyesight and became ill. On February 14, 2007 Donna, her son Valentine and daughter Amanda moved to Belfield, N. D. to be closer to her sister Bonnie and her family. Her youngest son, Nathan followed in December of 2007. Over the years Donna loved cooking, baking, canning and gardening. Donna was a caretaker to all. Donna is survived by her three beloved children: Valentine Buckle, Amanda (Kelly) Davenport all of Belfield, and Nathan Buckle of Dickinson; two grandchildren: Makaia and Bruce Davenport of Belfield; two brothers, Ted (Vicki) Dietz of Arizona and Eugene Dietz; a sister, Elaine Kilmer of San Antonio, TX; a great-great niece, Peyt’n Cromp of Belfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; her parents; a brother, Chuck Dietz; and two sisters, Patricia Hoffman and Bonnie Routh.
