Donna passed away on July 12, 2019 at Marion Manor in Glen Ullin.
Donna was born September 19, 1939 in Idaho to Denny and Shirley (Roth) Olin. She was raised south of Almont and graduated from Glen Ullin High School. Shortly after graduation she married Charles Miller. They made their home on the family farm and raised their three kids; Vicki, Valerie and Darrin. Donna worked in the kitchen in the Glen Ullin School for many years. Later in life she moved to Minot and married Roger Rau. They lived happily until the distance from her kids was too much and moved back to Hebron and bought Millers Cave Bar. Donna never managed or owned a business but she was successful and worked hard for over 32 years. Her patrons have many fond memories; marriage proposal, her blue hoodies, playing blitz, advice whenever needed, and the occasional “O hush your mouth.” It was known not to get on Donna’s mad side or she would point you straight to the door. Donna was known for her amazing cooking and especially her famous doughnuts. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Donna is survived by daughters, Vicki (Kevin Marrow) Opp of FL, Valerie (Les) Schantz of Glen Ullin; sister, Darlene Cox of OR; grandchildren, Kenyon (Jacque) Opp Glen Ullin, Keelan Opp Glen Ullin, Kurran (Chelsey) Opp Bismarck, Tabi (Doug) Schneider of Taylor, Taura Schantz of Dickinson, Tanna (John) Filibeck of Glen Ullin, Shawn Miller of Mandan; 13 great grandchildren ,Trevor, Tymber, Dason, Tyler, Dylan, Dalton, Tucker, Adah, Johnny, Alice, Jack, Clay and Axel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 siblings; her son, Darrin; and great-grandson Jack.
