A Funeral Service for Dorie Wiseman, 86, of Baker, MT will be at 11:00 a. m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at American Lutheran Church in Baker, MT. Interment will follow in Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker, MT. Visitation will be 4:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. on Wednesday, March 13th, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker. Dorie passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the Fallon County Medical Complex Long Term Care Center in Baker, MT. Dolores E. ?Dorie? Wiseman was born on June 4, 1926, a daughter of Otto and Harriett (Freeman) Hoenke in Baker, MT. Dorie grew up on the family farm south of Plevna. She attended country school through the eighth grade, then high school in Plevna where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class. Following high school, Dorie worked in Baker. She met Harold Wiseman, and the two were married on January 19, 1947. Following their marriage, Dorie and Harold moved to Nashua, MT where Harold was employed with the railroad. Eventually, they returned to Baker, where they made their home. After returning to Baker, Dorie worked as a Tax Accountant for Walt Ehman and later for Rowland Thomas & Company. In 1968, Dorie and Harold opened their home and hearts to three children, Susan, Brenda and Otis. They provided a loving home and raised these children as their own. After Harold?s death on March 22, 1989, Dorie continued to make Baker her home until 2006 when she entered the Long Term Care Center at Fallon Medical Complex. Dorie was very active in the Hospital Pinkies group and was active in the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a faithful member of American Lutheran Church in Baker, and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Dorie loved the Lord and enjoyed serving Him. Dorie was a caring sister, friend, and in Susan?s own words, ?Dorie was a loving mother?. Dorie is survived by her three special children, Susan (Marty) Nelson, Baker, MT, Brenda Baese, Salt Lake City, UT and Otis (Mary) Kapps, Baker, MT; her sister, Gloria (Ralph) Duneman, Baker, MT, her brother, Arnold ?Bud? Hoenke, Baker, MT and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Harriett Hoenke, her husband, Harold Wiseman, and her sister-in-law, LaVonne Hoenke. Memorials may be made to the American Lutheran Church in Baker, MT.
