Doris Wilner Zielsdorf, 95, Dickinson, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004, at St. Luke?s Home, Dickinson. Funeral services will be 2 p. m. Saturday, January 17, 2004 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dickinson, with Rev. Pat Higgins officiating. Entombment will be in Dickinson Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday from 2 p. m. to 5:30 p. m. at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson, and will continue Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service. Doris Wilner was born August 6, 1908, in Tower City, ND to Otto and Laura (Klinger) Wilner. She grew up and graduated from Tower City School in 1925. She graduated from North Dakota State University in 1929. Doris married Paul Zielsdorf on August 19, 1932 in Baker, Montana. They lived in Beach, Rhame and Dickinson. Doris taught school in these communities for 31 years. She was active in church and community activities, including St. Joseph?s Hospital Auxiliary, PEO, and the North Dakota Home Economics Association. Paul died January 21, 2001. Doris is survived by two daughters, Joan (Glenn) Whaley, West Fargo, ND, Karen Spall, Columbus, NE; five grandchildren, Roger (Melanie) Whaley, Mound, MN, Steven (Linda) Whaley, Fargo, ND, Thomas Whaley, West Fargo, ND, Michael (Cheryl) Spall, Pocatello, ID, and Jean (Douglas) Popham, Tucson, AZ; four great-grandchildren, Erika and Mark Whaley, Madeline Popham and Matthew Spall; one sister, Lucille (Lawrence Sr. ) Baasch, Tower City, ND; one sister-in-law, Thelma Wilner, Ulen, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Stanley and Donald; sisters, Helen Randall and Eva Campbell. Memorials are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church Trust Fund, 146 6th Ave. W. , Dickinson, ND 58601, St. Luke?s Home, 242 10th St. W. , Dickinson, ND, St. Joseph?s Hospital Auxiliary, 30 7th St. W. , Dickinson, ND, First Lutheran Church, 15404 73rd St. SW. , Rhame, ND 58651, or the donor?s choice.
