Funeral Mass for Dorothy A. Sadowsky, 87, of Dickinson is 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Patrick?s Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Rosary and Vigil service being held at 6:00 p. m. at The Stevenson Funeral Home with Deacon Ron Wolberg officiating. Dorothy passed away on Friday, December 25, 2009 at St. Benedicts Health Center in Dickinson. Dorothy A. Kostelecky was born on September 24, 1922 the daughter of Peter and Rose (Jedlicka) Kostelecky in New Hradec, ND. She grew up and attended school in New Hradec. Dorothy was married to Charles Sadowsky on June 12, 1944 at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec. Together they farmed and raised their three girls 16 miles northwest of Dickinson. In March of 1973 they moved into town where they made their home. Dorothy worked as a seamstress for L & M Cleaners for many years, she also worked at the Super 8 Motel and volunteered her time at the Arcaid. She was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family especially playing card games and bingo. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing in her younger years and watching ?I Love Lucy and the Golden Girls?. Dorothy was a kind and gentle mother and grandmother and will always be remembered for that. Survivors include, three daughters, Colleen (Darwin) Schaefer, Dickinson, Joyce (Bob) Wyckoff, Mandan and Pam (Mike) Wolf, Bismarck; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Jay) Wandler, Charlie (Ashley) Gawryluk, Michael (fianc? Charee) Gawryluk, Kelly (Tristen) Wyckoff, Douglas and Kayla Wyckoff, Michael, Steven and Ryan Wolf; great-grandchildren: Jayli, Jenna, Jorja Wandler, Jory Gawryluk and Taylor & Morgana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Rose Kostelecky; her husband, Charles; two brothers, Laudie and Dan Kostelecky and a grandson, Jory Gawryluk
