Private Funeral Mass for Duane Runcorn, 75, of Dickinson will be 10:00 am Friday, December 18, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Keith Streifel celebrating. Military honors will be provided by Dickinson American Legion Post #3. Burial will take place in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Public Visitation for Duane will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a Public Rosary and Vigil service being held at 6:00 p.m.

Duane went to his eternal home December, 4, 2020 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson, surrounded by his family.
Duane Arden was born in Rugby, ND on December 7, 1944, the son of Fred and Emma (Sund) Runcorn. Following his high school graduation, he attended Moler Barber College in Fargo and then moved to Dickinson. Duane was drafted into the US Army in August 1965. He was stationed in Vietnam as a supply specialist and was honorably discharged in 1967. Duane returned to Dickinson and it was here where he met the love of his life, Sharon Boespflug. They married on October 11, 1969 in Dickinson and were blessed with two sons, Bryan and Tim. Duane had a 50+ year barber career in Dickinson. He retired in 2012. He was a member of York Legion Post #268, VFW Post #3444 and the Dickinson Eagles Club. Duane enjoyed playing cards and games with his boys and family. He also enjoyed watching ND college sports. In 1990 the family purchased a lake home at Mosset Bay. They enjoyed 25 years at the lake making many memories with family and friends. Duane always had coffee on and the table ready for anyone who stopped by to visit. His door and heart were always open to all. Duane was a gentle giant who loved people and life. He truly shared the gift of hospitality.
Duane is survived by his wife, Sharon of 51 years; sons, Bryan (Brenda) of Williston; Tim (Amy) of Fargo; seven grandchildren, Mitchell, Jake, Devin, Shana, Lexy, Brittney, McKayden and one great-granddaughter, Aunya; sister, Janice Gableman of Mesa, AZ; in-laws, Mickey (Joan) Boespflug; Richard (Jan) Boespflug, Mark (Valerie) Boespflug; , Paul (Jeanne) Boespflug, Karla (Paul) Erickson; Don (Shelly) Boespflug; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, Fred and Emma Runcorn; sisters, Blanche, Lori, Carol; brother, Bill; mother-in-law, Leona Boespflug.
