DuWayne Kermit Livengood was born 15 minutes before midnight on March 31, 1941. The nurses at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City, Montana teased his mother that her first born would be an April Fool baby. Her first response was not,? What did I have? Boy? or Girl? But what time was it?? He was the first child of Kermit and Marian (Good) Livengood. DuWayne died of cancer on August 27, 2004 at the Sheridan, Wyoming Manor. DuWayne attended Plevna Grade School and dropped out of Plevna High School his senior year. He completed a Tooling Leather Class year?s later in Helena. On June 2, 1961 in Ekalaka, Montana he was married to Marjorie Ann Wiseman. Two children were born to this union: Keneon DuWayne on August 7, 1963 and Angela Dianne on August 31, 1977. They later were divorced. DuWayne married Joyce Elgin in Miles City, Montana and to this union a boy Kadean DuWayne was born on August 31, 1978. They divorced later. DuWayne?s passion was horses. He enjoyed the cowboy life and was called ?Cowboy? by several. He could be seen with his black hat, Levis, and boots wherever he may be working, or whenever there was need of a roper or helper for branding. He was employed by various ranches and farms in the area. He worked in the oilfields and was employed for a time at the O&M Elevator in Baker. Due to a disability he was unemployed at the time of his death. DuWayne was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Marian Livengood. He is survived by his son, Keneon Livengood of Los Angeles, California; son Kadean Livengood of Vermont; and daughter Angie and her husband Kerry Simac of Huntley, Montana. Also surviving DuWayne are his two brothers and their wives: Dwight and Carla Livengood of Miles City, Montana and Ross and Brenda Livengood of Billings, Montana; one sister and her husband: Bonita and Jack Phillips of Lebanon, Oregon. These nieces and nephews will not be able to witness his horse skills. They are Jenny Livengood of Spearfish, South Dakota; Nikki Zimmer of Worden, Montana, and Katrina Nahikian of Torrence, California. His 4 nephews: Joel Livengood of Lead, South Dakota; Jeffrey Livengood of Spearfish, South Dakota; Paul Livengood of Billings, Montana; and Lydell Phillips of Lebanon, Oregon. He had 2 grandnephews Sebastian Phillips and Tanner Livengood and 3 grand nieces: Jordan Livengood, Jordyn Zimmer, and Kaylee Phillips. Memorials may be sent to the Sheridan, Wyoming soup kitchen. I?m not sure about this part, as I didn?t hear back from anyone to give me an address.
