Earlene went to be with her Savior on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo after a long and rewarding life.

Earlene Martha Sargeant was born to Earl and Eleanor Sargeant on May 12, 1947 in Galesburg, Illinois and joined her older brother, William Sargeant. There she remained until she met and married her husband.

In September of 1970 she married George Frank and moved to North Dakota to the family farm south of Dickinson. Together George and Earlene raised six children. Through the years Earlene worked several jobs to help support her family, all of which highlighted her passion of helping others. She worked for Easter Seals, Able Inc., and Head Start. She also worked at Paragon Café as a cook and a waitress.

Earlene loved playing pinochle, visiting with friends and family, especially her 11 grandchildren, cooking, reading and singing. She enjoyed making jams and jellies, and canning. She was an avid roller skater in her younger years. She was a long-term member of the St. Joseph Church choir. Her faith was very important to her as she converted to Catholicism at a young age, and had a deep abiding love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Earlene is survived by her brother, William Sargeant, Rio Rico, AZ; her six children, Richard (Jamie) Frank, Fargo, ND; Sherry (Tom) Brusven, Fargo, ND; Sheila (Alejandro) Abdo, Michigan City, IN; Barry (Melissa) Frank, Wahpeton, ND; Lucas Frank, Dickinson, ND; and Donna Anderson, Fargo, ND; eleven grandchildren, Ben Frank, Jessica Frank, George Abdo, Larken Frank, Violet Frank, Draven Winn, Layka Frank, Tryker Frank, Andrew Anderson, Jackson Anderson and Ethan Anderson, and one great-grandchild Mateo Winn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Earlene was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Eleanor (Kostelecky) Sargeant, her husband, George Frank, and her sons-in-law, Travis Anderson and Robert Brooks.
