Funeral Mass for Edith V. Kostelecky, 76 of Dickinson will be 12:30 p. m. Monday, May 23 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Claude Seeberger celebrating. Burial will be 3:00 p. m. CST Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan. Visitation will be Sunday, May 22, 2005 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:00 a. m. to 12:00p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Edith passed away Friday, May 20, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. She was born July 15, 1928 at Dickinson, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Dvorak) Kralicek. Edith grew up in the Dickinson area and attended a country school north of Dickinson, Green River School #24 and graduated from Model High School. She worked as a clerk at Woolworths. On October 15, 1947, Edith was married to Laudie A. Kostelecky at New Hradec. To this union, two children, Harlan and Jamie were born. They made their home on the Kostelecky farm for a short time before moving to Dickinson where they made their home since. After their children finished high school, Edith began working as an assistant cook at the St. Patrick?s School lunch program. She completed 22 years before retiring. Edith loved to be with her children and grandchildren and watch them in their sports. She enjoyed growing flowers, gardening and keeping her house in shape. Edith was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church and St. Patrick?s Circle. Survivors include her husband, Laudie of Dickinson; a daughter, Jamie (Greg) Armitage of Killdeer; a daughter-in-law, Kristy Kostelecky of Cody, WY; two brothers: Tony (Bertha) Kralicek of Manning and Joe (Josie) Kralicek of Dickinson; three sisters: Martha Watkins of Spokane, WA, Lillian (Jerry) Moore of Union, OR and Dorothy Kostelecky of Salem, OR and four grandchildren: Christopher Kostelecky, and Jennifer, Holly and Joshua Armitage. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Harlan; two infant brothers: Albert and George; four sisters: Hattie Kostelecky, Emily Ficek, Rose Kralicek and Anne Schmidt; and a grandson, Sean Kostelecky.
