Edith passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Health Center in Dickinson.

Edith was born on December 20, 1931 in Stark County, the daughter of Vincent and Agnes (Hanel) Kubas. As a young girl, she attended Sts. Peter and Paul School in New Hradec and she graduated from Dickinson Model High in 1949. Edith met her lifetime partner, Tony Rambousek, and they were married on May 1, 1950 in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec. They were blessed with four children, Norma, Merle, LeeAnn and Loren. Edith and Tony raised their family north of Belfield where they farmed and ranched. Along with farming and ranching, Edith worked as the secretary for the Billings County Country School District for many years.

Edith was a devoted wife and mother, always taking care of her family and working alongside Tony. She loved to spend time in the kitchen cooking and baking, especially creating delicious Bohemian foods. There was always a snack or meal ready for those who came to visit and no one left her house hungry. Edith loved to spend time with Tony and could often be found camping & fishing, dancing and playing cards together. The couple retired from the farm in 1990 and Dickinson became their retirement home. Edith will be forever loved and dearly missed.

Edith is survived by her sons, Merle Rambousek and Loren (Marlease) Rambousek of Dickinson; daughters, Norma (Don) Wehri of Glen Ullin and LeeAnn (Gene) Koppinger of Baker, MT; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Bridget (Nick) Schank; numerous nieces, nephews and extended Rambousek family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Agnes Kubas; parent-in-laws, Anton and Mary (Luptak) Rambousek; husband, Tony (2010); daughter-in-law, Cindy Rambousek; sister, Dorothy Kubas; brother, David (Pat) Kubas; and extended Rambousek family.
