Funeral Mass for Edna Armbrust, 91, of Dickinson will be at 10:00 a. m. on Saturday, September 18, 2004 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father James Braaten Celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph?s Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 16, 2004 from 9:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. , continuing on Friday from 8:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Rosary/Vigil at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 a. m. to one hour prior to service at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Edna passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson. Edna was born November 11, 1912 in Dunn County, daughter of Arthur Zabel and Alvina Knabe Zabel. Edna grew up and attended Dent Hill School. Edna worked as a waitress in the Villard Hotel in Dickinson. She married George J. Armbrust at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Dickinson on February 2, 1937. In 1941 the couple moved to Vancouver, WA, returning to Dickinson in 1945. Edna then began her career in sales and seamstress work. In 1955 she began working for a Singer Sewing store, which she later purchased and operated until retirement. Edna continued to repair sewing machines for a number of years while retired. She always loved sewing, gardening, needle work and reading. Edna especially loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Edna was a member of St. Ann?s Alter Society and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Survivors include three daughters; Audrey Ochs, Hamilton, MT, Donna (Michael) Miller, Dickinson, ND, Jean (Edwin) Ridl, Dickinson, ND; one brother David Zabel, Osborn, ID; one sister, Fern Shepard, Payette, ID. ; sister-in-law Pearl Zabel, Dickinson, ND; and eleven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George in 1970; one brother, Matt Zabel, and one sister, Mildred Spaulding. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 17, 2004 from 9:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. , continuing on Friday from 8:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Prayer Service and Rosary at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 a. m. to one hour prior to service at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Edna passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson.
