Edna Heinle

Funeral Services for Edna E. Heinle, 87, of Farmington, MN formerly of Hebron, ND will be 10:00 a. m. CST, Friday, July 31, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, Hebron, ND with Pastor David Ling officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 pm CST at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2009 from 4:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. with a family service at 8:00 p. m. , at the First Baptist Church, Hebron, ND. Visitation will continue on Friday one hour prior to the service time at the church. Edna passed away on Monday, July 27, 2009 at the Community Assistant Living Home in Farmington, MNEdna Esther Miller was born on October 8, 1921 the oldest child of 13 to Jacob and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Miller. She grew up and attended country school in Grant County. She later attended the Capital Commercial College in Bismarck, ND. Edna worked for several businesses in Bismarck after her schooling. Edna was married to Reinhold Heinle on March 19, 1944 in Hebron, ND. Two sons were born to this union, Dean and Bob. Together Edna and Reinhold raised their two sons, farmed and ranched in the Hebron area most of their life. Edna?s home became a gathering spot for her siblings and she enjoyed cooking for all. In 1970 they semi-retired and moved into Hebron where they made their home. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, quilting and music. Edna was known for her special talents at designing family name dollies and numerous other custom design crocheted items. Edna was very active with the Hebron Homemakers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hebron, taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Edna was able to spend six months with both of her sons for several years, spending her winters in Arizona and summers in Minnesota. The last four years Edna has made her home at the Community Assistant Living Home in Farmington, MN. Survivors include, her two sons, Dean (Delores) Heinle, Mesa, AZ and Bob (Robin) Heinle, Farmington, MN; four grandchildren, Seless, Jason, Justin and Andrea and 5 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lester (Lorraine) Miller and Edwin Miller both of Glen Ullin and Herbert Miller, Salem, OR; five sisters, Ruth (Raymond) Heinle, Hebron, ND, Violet (Hugo) Heinle, Perham, MN, Freda Anderson, Bismarck, ND, Cinderella (Marvin) Lennick, Dickinson, ND and Gloria (Thomas) Schafer, Dickinson, ND and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Benny, Karl and Ernest and a sister, Florence Heinle.
