Funeral Services for Edward Dapkiewicz, 56 of Baker will be Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 4:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker with Father Thomas Tobin officiating. Graveside services will be held at Libby, MT. Ed passed away Saturday, October 2, 2004 at his home in Baker. He was born July 24, 1948 at Phillipsburg, NJ, the son of Edward and Ethal Polgardy Dapkiewicz. Ed attended Phillipsburg Catholic High School. He was married to Carol Willis. Two children were born to this union: Brian and Heather. Ed entered the US Air Force on January 31, 1967 and served for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. Ed loved his country and was very patriotic. On May 6, 1989 he was married to Loretta Lindsey at Baker. They lived in Baker where Ed enjoyed hunting, reloading bullets, watching Nascar, using his computer and discussing politics, he also enjoyed cooking and was considered an excellent chef. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Baker. Survivors include his wife, Loretta of Baker; his father, Edward of Bethlehem, PA; a son, Brian (Sherrie) Dapkiewicz of Topeka, KS; a daughter, Heather Powell of Joplin, MO; four brothers: Bernard (Joannna) Dapkevich, Stephen Dapkiewicz, David (Chris) Dapkiewicz, Robert (Sheri) Dapkiewicz,; four grandchildren: Brenen & Hanna Dapkiewicz and Taylor & Hayley Powell. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel.
