Mass of Christian Burial for Edward R. Keller, 79, of Dickinson is 10:00 a. m. on Monday, March 8, 2004 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church with Father Dennis Schafer, celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph?s Cemetery. The Dickinson Drill Team will provide military rites. Visitation is Saturday from 3:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. and Sunday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a rosary and vigil service at 7:00 p. m. led by Deacon Ron Keller at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Edward passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at St. Benedict?s Health Center. Edward was born May 12, 1924 to John and Josephine (Koffler) Keller in Mineral Springs, North Dakota. After attending Central High in Dickinson, Edward enlisted in the US Army serving three years. While serving during WWII and European Theatre Operations he worked in the Medical area as an X-ray Technician. On June 30, 1947 Edward married Harriet Kessel in St. Joseph?s Catholic Church. Together they resided in Dickinson raising their family. Edward worked for 32 years with the US Postal Service and the Fad for 12 years. He was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, Past President of German Hungarian Club, St. Anthony Club, American Legion and life member of the VFW. Edward enjoyed music and camping in his earlier years. He will be greatly missed by his children, Mary Kay (Tim) Ralston, Bismarck, ND, Frank Keller, Dickinson, ND, Tim Keller, Dickinson, Pat (Carrie) Keller, Dickinson, Michael (DeAnna) Keller, Dickinson, Nancy (Dennis) Heidt, Dickinson; eight grandchildren, Nicole (fianc?e, Sean Sadaj), Ashley, Mariah, John, Rachel, Zachary, Hannah and one to arrive in May; great grandson, Ben; two brothers, George Keller, Dickinson, Ted (Joyce) Keller, Winter Haven, FL; sister, Anna Marie (Leonard) Ries, Dickinson, ND and sister-in-law, Connie Keller, Pahrump, NV. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Harriet, two brothers, Pete and Albert.
