A funeral Mass for Edward F. Sadowsky, 90, of Dickinson, will be 9:30 a. m. , Friday, August 21, 2015 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Shannon Lucht celebrating. Burial will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation for Ed will be 2:00 p. m. – 8:00 p. m. , Thursday, August 20th at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with a rosary and vigil service being held at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Edward passed away August 17, 2015 at St. Benedict’s Health Center in Dickinson. Edward was born July 20, 1925 in Dickinson, the son of Joseph and Minnie (Volesky) Sadowsky. Growing up, he attended Sts. Peter and Paul School in New Hradec. Ed married Mary Lillian Luptak on June 26, 1946 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec. The couple was blessed with three sons, Arnold, Edward Jr. and Keith. Ed was a farmer at heart, he and Mary farmed ten miles north of Dickinson until 1990, when they retired and moved to Dickinson. Ed enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed bingo and playing cards, especially pinochle, right up to the time of his passing. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, KC’s, Catholic Workman’s of New Hradec and the Eagles Club. Ed will be dearly missed. Ed is survived by his sons, Arnold (Alice) of Columbia Heights, MN, Edward Jr. (Pam) of McVille, ND, and Keith (Linda) of Maple Grove, MN; 5 grandchildren, Debra, Sandra, Nicole, James, Edward Lee and 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Minnie; wife, Mary (2003); two brothers and four sisters.
