Edward was born December 9, 1923 in Dunn County, the son of John and Caroline (Johner) Schepper.  He grew up on the family farm in the Fayette area of Dunn County.  Ed attended country school and following his high graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy.   He served during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945.  Edward moved around through his lifetime and worked as a custodian. Following his discharge, he lived in Los Angeles, CA, later returning to Fargo, ND for five years before moving to Texas.  His next stop was New Mexico and in recent years he was living in the BeeHive Homes where he enjoyed his final years with great caretakers and residents.  Edward loved history, reading, following politics, visiting and having his cappuccino.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Schepper; mother, Caroline (Johner) Osland; brothers, Dan, Frank and Antone Schepper; sister, Lilly Hjelmstadt.
