Edward passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at St. Alexis Medical Center in Bismarck, due to injuries received in an automobile accident.

Edward Ray Urban was born November 1, 1989 in Dickinson, ND to Dwight and Laurie (Schwindt) Urban. He grew up being the middle of three boys and was known at home as the instigator. Eddy attended school through the third grade at Fryburg continuing his education at South Heart where he would have been a Junior this fall. Eddy loved tinkering, especially with motors. He could usually be found with one of his brothers in the shop taking apart or overhauling anything with an engine. His enjoyment of engines led him to racetracks where he would watch any type of car race in the area that he could find. He also took pleasure in music and drawing for which he earned many awards. Swimming and fishing were favorite pastimes of Eddy?s and he was looking forward to his first hunt this fall. He was very active in the Belfield Lutheran church and helped with Vacation Bible School this summer where he taught four and five year-olds. Children were very important to Eddy, he always made time for them, and especially dear to him was his niece, Liberty. Eddy was a very happy-go-lucky young man. He truly loved making people smile and did his best to brighten their day. He was a ray of sunshine that will be greatly missed by all those his life touched.

He is survived by both of his parents; two brothers, Leslie ( Lisa) Urban of Dickinson, ND; Christopher Urban of Dickinson, ND; a niece, Liberty Urban of Dickinson, ND; two grandmothers, Ellen Urban of Dickinson, ND; Betty (Ray) Stroh of Mandan, ND; Godparents, Jeff Huether of Mandan, ND; Dorothy Makowski of Belfield, ND; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by both grandfathers, William Urban and Alfred Schwindt; and an uncle, Paul Schwindt.
