Edwin Breum

Edwin H. Breum, 90, Taylor, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Richardton Health Center. Funeral Services will be 10 a. m. Monday, August 4, 2003, at Taylor Lutheran Church, Taylor with Rev. Gary Wood officiating. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery, Taylor. Visitation will be Sunday from noon to 9 p. m. with a prayer service at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. Edwin H. Breum was born April 10, 1913, to Herman and Edith (Simons) Breum. Edwin farmed with his Dad at an early age. He was a good farmer and loved to do mechanic work. He took over the farm from his Dad and farmed many years. He married Elizabeth Fisher on March 2, 1935. They were the 3rd generation to live on the Breum homestead northeast of Taylor, until they retired and made their home in Taylor in 1979. Elizabeth died January 5, 1998. Edwin continued to live in Taylor until the time of his death. He was a member of the Sons of Norway, was a past School Board Member, was an active member of the Taylor Lutheran Church, charter member of the Taylor School PTA, charter member of the Lion?s Club, and a member of the Taylor Senior Citizens. Edwin enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, playing cards, and the violin with the Friday Nite Gang. Edwin is survived by: three sons, Howard (Jean), Lake Oswego, Ore. , James (Delores), Taylor, and Robert (Karin), Havre, Mont. ; one daughter, Joyce (Gerald) Dixon, Prosser, Wash. ; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Eddie, Laurel, Mont. ; one sister, Elaine Hoeff, Milwaukee, Wis. ; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; parents; two brothers and two sisters.
