Eleanor Hawkins

Eleanor Wolf, daughter of Alex G. Wolf and Barbara (Mielberger) Wolf, was born July 16, 1921 in Dickinson. She attended Versippi School and Dickinson High School. On May 30 1943 Eleanor married Oscar Roy Hawkins at Gieger Air Field, near Spokane, Washington. After her husband was discharged from the Army, they made their home in Camden, New Jersey for eleven years. Upon her husband’s death in 1956, Eleanor and three daughters moved back to Dickinson to be near her relatives. Eleanor worked at J. C. Penney from 1957 to 1986 at which time she retired. Eleanor was always there for her children and enjoyed the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church Circle and Ministry of Praise in Dickinson and presently St. Ann?s Catholic Church in Bismarck. She loved playing cards with her friends. She had many hobbies that she shared with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include daughters, Peggy (Robert) Wanner, Bismarck, Sharon (Jim) Schloss, Belgrade, Mont. and Barb (William) Gabbert, Fargo; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and an infant son, Gary; brothers, George, Tony, Donald, Wayne and Ronald and one sister, Angeline.
