Liturgy of the Word for Eleanor (Bosch) Nelson, 87, of Dickinson, ND will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson, ND with Deacon Ron Keller celebrating. Burial will be in Killdeer Cemetery, Killdeer, ND.
Visitation for Eleanor will be from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 with a Rosary & Vigil service to be held at 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson, ND.
Eleanor passed away March 26, 2012 at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Dickinson.
Eleanor was born on January 12, 1925 to Wendelin and Pauline (Rebsom) Bosch. During her younger years, Eleanor spent her days working on the family’s ranch. She married John Bullinger in Killdeer, ND on November 6th, 1944. To this union four children were born: Katherine, Jim, Leo, and David. They raised their family on their ranch in rural Manning, ND. After John’s passing, Eleanor married Maynard Nelson on June 18th, 1976 in Killdeer and resided with Maynard on the ranch in rural Manning until his passing on November 27, 1998. Eleanor moved to Dickinson and later resided at St. Luke’s Nursing Home. Eleanor was known for making the best fried chicken and dressing. She enjoyed life and was known for living life to the fullest. Some of her hobbies included gardening, playing cards, bingo, camping and fishing.
Eleanor is survived by her children: Katherine (Bob) Bren of Gladstone, ND; Leo Bullinger of Dickinson, ND; David (Mary) Bullinger of Dickinson, ND; three sisters: Mathida, Veronica, and Pauline; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, John Bullinger and Maynard Nelson; her parents, Wendelin and Pauline (Rebsom) Bosch; one son, Jim; four brothers, Steve, Joe, Martin, and Tony; four sisters, Barbara, Katherine, Ann, and Margaret; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
