Eleanor Saxowsky

Eleanor Saxowsky, 84, Dickinson, died Sunday, October 31, 2004, at her home. Memorial services will be 10 a. m. , Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson, with the Reverend Steven Tangen, officiating. Inurnment will be in the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Eleanor Wold was born January 25, 1920 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Halvor Wold and Randi (Ness) Wold. She attended elementary and secondary school in Cando, ND, and received her bachelor?s degree in music and education from the University of North Dakota. She married Gilbert Saxowsky on November 17, 1942 in Grand Forks and they moved to Dickinson in 1946 and became involved with the family business, Sax Motor Co. She was a member of Eastern Star, United Church of Christ Church in Dickinson, was a founding member of Chapter AD PEO. She was an organist for the congregational church for 20 years. She loved gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, music, the family farm, Sax Motor Co. and employees. Eleanor Saxowsky is survived by: her daughter, Pam Kostelecky, Dickinson; five grandchildren, Scott Beaton, California, Kristine Beaton, Washington, Christian and Lisa Kostelecky, Dickinson, Karen and Mike Evans, Illinois, Randi and Shane Walz, Minnesota, and her beloved great-grandchildren and very special friends. She was preceded in death by: her mother and father, Christ and Randi Wold; her husband, Gib ?Sax? Saxowsky, father and mother-in-law, Fred and Leni Saxowsky, daughter, Randi Potter, brothers, Howard Wold, Lester Wold, Chester Wold and Truman Wold; sisters-in-law, Gladys and Eva Wold. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Heartland Hospice, 30 W. 7th St. , Dickinson, ND 58601 or Dickinson State University Foundation, 291 Campus Drive, Dickinson, ND 58601.
