Eleanor Trotter, 80, Dickinson, died Thursday, December 2, 2004 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Funeral services are 9:30 a. m. , Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dickinson with Pastor Steven Tangen officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. , Monday, December 6, 2004 at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson with a prayer service at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue at the church Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Eleanor Zubke was born February 9, 1924 in Waubay, South Dakota to Art and Ella (Pies) Zubke. She attended Huffman and Grassy Butte schools. She married Edgar Trotter on October 1, 1940. They ranched west of Grassy Butte in the Badlands along the Little Missouri River. Edgar died in 1982. She later moved to a home on the outskirts of Dickinson. She was a member of 50 Years in the Saddle, Heritage Club and McKenzie County Grazing Association. She enjoyed canning, yard work, gardening, cooking, baking, and loved visiting and being with her family. She appreciated her great neighbors and friends. Eleanor Trotter is survived by: her children, Richard (Maxine) Trotter, Dickinson, ND, Ed (Donna) Trotter, Vernal, UT, Debbie (Don) Schmeling, Dickinson, ND, Bill (Carla) Trotter, Grassy Butte, ND, Sherry Klefstad, McVille, ND; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Art & Ella Zubke; husband, Edgar Trotter; one son, Jerry Trotter; two daughters, Ellen Kist and Sandy Faulkner; three sisters, Emily Dolecheck, Ethel Hayden and Evelyn Holloway.
