Graveside services  for Eleanor (Fettig) Wichser, 93, of Seattle Washington, formerly of Killdeer, ND will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Killdeer Cemetery, Killdeer, ND; with Father Joseph Evinger officiating.

Eleanor died on February 13, 2018, in Seattle, WA, after a long battle with dementia.

Eleanor M. “Fettig” Wichser was born March 16, 1924.  She lived in Killdeer, North Dakota until her 18th year when adventure took ahold of her heart and she moved to the Seattle area.

She met her husband, Charles George Wichser while working at the shipyards.  Her dream was to become a pilot and she took classes to achieve that dream.  Before she could finish her classes, she married Charles.  Eleanor made Seattle her home her entire life.

Eleanor enjoyed spending time sewing and crocheting, and tending to her garden.  Time spent singing and dancing brought her great joy.  She was fond of the time she was able to spend clam-digging at Long Beach, Washington.

Eleanor is survived by her husband Charles; her children, Stephanie C. (Roger) Funston;  Cynthia A. (Marc) Kroetch; Charles J. (Debbie) Wichser; Michael J. (Kellie) Wichser; Mary E. (Allen) Pinch; David A. (Kathi) Wichser; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way; sisters, Agnes Scwalbe, Killdeer, ND; Rosie Benz, Killdeer, ND; Delores Higgins, Springfield, OR.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Clemens Fettig; sister, Mary Hartman.

Contributions to the Dementia and Alzheimer’s Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
