Eleanor Zastoupil

A funeral Mass for Eleanor Zastoupil, 83, of Dickinson, a will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2018 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Msgr. Patrick Schumacher celebrating.  Burial will take place in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.


Visitation for Eleanor will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service taking place at 6:00 p.m.


Eleanor passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson.


Eleanor was born June 29, 1934, in Hettinger County, daughter of Peter and Lena (Wollman) Dassinger.  She grew up on the family farm and attended school through the eighth grade.  Eleanor married Adolph Zastoupil on October 16, 1961 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson.  Their marriage was blessed with seven children, Deborah, Dale, Randy, Karen, Harlen, Jerry, and Nancy.  Eleanor loved to cook and worked at several restaurants as a cook in Dickinson.  She was also a member of the German Hungarian Club, where she and Adolph loved to dance. Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.


Eleanor is survived by her seven children, Deborah (Loren Pierce) of Dickinson, Dale (Delores) of Dickinson, Randy (Monique) of TX, Karen (Leon) Simon of Bismarck, Harlen and Jerry, both of Dickinson, Nancy (Jody Jalbert) of Bismarck; nine grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Tyler, Chad, Angel, Mandy, Aiden, Rylee and Zoey; five great-grandchildren, Jaysik, Ava, Frankie, Logan and Lucas; three sisters, Betty Syminow, Dorothy Reager, Evelyn Dorval; brother, Kenneth Dassinger.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Lena; husband, Adolph; brothers, Conrad, Peter and Roland; sister, Johana.
