Funeral Mass for Elizabeth “Betty” Kudrna, of Dickinson, ND will be 10:00 am Tuesday, October 18th 2022 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, ND with Msgr. Thomas Richter celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dickinson, ND.

Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday, October 17th, 2022 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, ND with a Rosary and Vigil service at 6:00 pm.

Betty passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at CHI St. Alexius Health in Dickinson.

Elizabeth Jablonsky was born December 2, 1931 on a farm in Stark County, near South Heart, to Philip and Mary (Ficek) Jablonsky. She grew up and attended grade school in South Heart, New Hradec and attended Model High School. After her schooling, Betty worked at the Lariat Café and Woolworth’s for several years. On April 16, 1951 Betty and George Kudrna were married at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec, North Dakota. The couple made their home on the family farm. It was here where they raised their family and farmed until retiring and moving to Dickinson in 2005. Betty enjoyed cooking for her family and baking kolache. She enjoyed gardening, listening to old time music and dancing. In her later years, she enjoyed activities such as word searches, Bingo, and Pokeno. Betty especially enjoyed pizza with a beer. Betty worked at the Knight of Columbus Club for over 20 years. She was a member of the Catholic Workman (FCSLA), Queen of Peace Catholic Church and the New Hradec Rosary Society.

Betty is survived by her sons, Daniel (Sandy) Kudrna, Grand Forks, ND and Douglas (Anita) Kudrna, Billings, MT; daughter, Deanna (Curtis) Steffan, Dickinson, ND; grandchildren, Levi (Jennifer) Kudrna, Isaac Kudrna, Katie (Michael) Chorne, Jonathan Kudrna, Samantha (Curtis Blackley) Steffan, Jordan (Kayla) Steffan, Skylar Steffan; great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Easton, Willow, Simon, Winnie; step great-granddaughters, Kathryn and Lauryn; brothers, Richard (Donna) Jablonsky, Dickinson, ND; sister, Elaine (Patrick) Wanner, Dickinson, ND; sisters-in-law, Dona Jablonsky, Georgian Pannone, and Marie (Darold) Miller; and brothers-in-law, Robert Christensen and Adam Wock.

She is preceded in death by both parents; husband, George (2013); brothers, George (Jean) Jablonsky, Steve Jablonsky; sisters, Mary (George) Kostelecky, Louise (Sam) Schock, and Charlene Christensen; brother-in-law, Marty Pannone; sister-in-law, Arlene Wock.
