Elizabeth "Betty" Ott

February 18, 1934 — August 21, 2022

Funeral mass for Elizabeth “Betty” Ott, 88, of Dickinson, will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Bill Ruelle officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday, August 29, 2022 at Stevenson Funeral Home with rosary and vigil held at 6:00 p.m.

Betty passed away August 21, 2022 at St. Benedict’s in Dickinson.

Betty was born February 28, 1934, the daughter of Mary and Adam Lampl. She grew up on the farm northeast of Regent, attending country school, later graduating from Regent. After graduation she moved to Dickinson and began working for Bell Telephone. It was during this time that she met Vince Ott. The two were married May 18, 1954. The couple made their home in Dickinson where they raised their family of three children. Betty continued to work at the telephone company for over 30 years until her retirement. 

Betty was devoted to her faith and family. Betty was a member of St. Patrick’s Church where she taught CCD and participated in Adoration, and was involved in many Trinity expansions. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and volunteered at Mission Church at Mandaree, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and St. Luke’s. She loved quilting and a variety of crafts. She enjoyed baking, especially birthday cakes for her grandchildren. 

Betty will be remembered for her kind heart, servant spirit, and glowing smile. 

Betty is survived by her children Roger (Robbin) Ott of Dickinson, Duane of Dickinson, Denise (Perry) of Helena; eight grandchildren, Jason (Angela) Ott of Dickinson, Kyle Ott of Dickinson, Troy (Rose) Ott of Fargo, Marie (Jake) Reddick of Helena, MT, Sara Mitchell of Bismarck, Danielle (Andy) Salo of Dickinson, Derek (Emily) Ott of Dickinson and Brooke Ott of Dickinson; seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vince Ott; and her parents Adam and Mary Lampl.
