Funeral Services for Elizabeth Christman, 94, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Plevna, Montana will be 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Plevna, MT with Pastors Bruce and Reba Kolasch officiating. Burial will follow at the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Plevena, MTVisitation will be from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. Monday, August 21, 2006 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MTBetty passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Eljen Nursing Home in Las Vegas. Elizabeth ?Betty Christman was born June 8, 1912 to Phillip and Katherine Schweigert Sr. in Emery, S. D. She lived on various farms and attended the Lame Jones country school. She married Edward Christman on March 29, 1952. The couple farmed and ranched North of Plevna, MT and it was here where they raised their only daughter, Delhias and later their only granddaughter, Betty Fay. Betty will be long remembered as a very hard worker who was eager to help anyone in need. Betty was a former member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Plevna. She is survived by a sister, Lydia Christman of Baker, MT; a grandson-in-law, Jesse Schell of Las Vegas, NV; three great-grandchildren, Jesse Schell Jr. of Miles City, MT; Jeremy Schell of Las Vegas, NV; Jason Schell of Austin, MN; and ten great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; both parents; her daughter, Delhias, granddaughter, Betty Fay; an infant great-grandson, Aaron; two brothers; three half-brothers; and five sisters.
