Funeral service for Elizabeth “Betty” Dukart, 91, of Killdeer, will be 10:00 a. m. , Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Killdeer with Pastors John and Rachel Simonson officiating. Burial will follow in the Killdeer Cemetery. Visitation for Betty will be from 4:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. , Monday, February 10th at Stevenson Funeral Home in Killdeer with a prayer service being held at 6:00 p. m. Betty passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 in Dickinson. Elizabeth Unterseher was born December 3, 1922 on the family homestead, the daughter Albert and Katherine (Martin) Unterseher. She grew up and attended country school north of Killdeer. On April 22, 1941, Betty and Valentine Dukart were united in marriage at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson. To this union five children were born: Albert, Richard, Dennis, Kerry and Debbie. Together they raised their family on their ranch west of Killdeer. Betty had a very giving heart and helped where ever she could. She enjoyed sewing and spending time outdoors; whether it was gardening, tending to her animals, or riding horses. Betty had a special love for her cats. Spending time with her grandchildren always brought her great joy. Betty was a member of the Whetstone Homemaker’s Club. Betty is survived by her four sons, Albert and Richard both of Killdeer, Dennis (Dru) of Mounds View, MN, and Kerry (Faye) of Rawlins, WY; one daughter, Debbie (Clarence) Hauck of Dickinson; one brother, Arthur Unterseher of Lead, SD; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Val; five brothers, Gotthelf, Johnny, Christ and Otto; three sisters, Pauline Sergant, Frieda Lundquist , and JoAnne Weirson Davidson; and two infant siblings, Albert and Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial of your choice.
