Elizabeth “Liz” Jane Marie Kolling was born August 22, 1943, in Richardton, the daughter of Joseph G. and Anna E. (Riesinger) Kolling. She grew up in Dickinson, graduating from Dickinson High School in 1962. After graduating, she moved to Tacoma, Washington to attend Tacoma Vocational Technical Institute, where she earned her LPN Degree. She then moved to Fremont, California to attend Ohlone College and there she received her RN Degree. Elizabeth made her home in California for a number of years. On February 22, 1969, she married Edward D. Joslyn, making their home in California. Liz later returned to Dickinson, making it her home. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Ear, Nose and Throat. Liz was a person of great devotion. She filled her life with volunteering for RSVP, AARP, Eagles Auxiliary, Future Nurses of America, Business & Professional Women’s Association. Liz dedicated her entire life to healthcare. Liz enjoyed dancing, quilting, and reading.


In accordance with Liz’s wishes, she has gifted her body to the UND School of Science.


The family suggests Memorials for Liz be made to the American Cancer Society.


Elizabeth is survived by eight brothers, Clarence Kolling, George (Marlene) Kolling, Francis Kolling, Lester Kolling, Elmer (Dolly) Kolling, Allen Kolling, Michael (Connie) Kolling, and Keith Kolling; five sisters, Juliann (Frank) Hatzenbuhler, Eleanor Dietrick, Sharleen Kolling, Audrey (Tim) Kelsey, and Pamela Kolling; two Aunts; one Uncle; 40 nieces and nephews; 46 great nieces and nephews and 34 great-great nieces and nephews.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph G. & Anna E. Kolling; brother, Jerry Kolling; sister, Deb Rivers; five nieces and nephews; two great nephews; and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
