Funeral Mass for Elizabeth Rose Pavlish, 86 of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. Monday, January 10, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Dennis Schafer celebrating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph?s Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will be Saturday, January 8, 2005 from 1:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. , continuing on Sunday from 9:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel, from 1:00 p. m. to 2:00 p. m. at St. Benedict?s Healthcare Center and from 3:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Elizabeth passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson. She was born January 8, 1918 on the family farm in the Sheffield area, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Thomas) Kraiter. She grew up and attended country schools there. Elizabeth began helping out at the family home due to the death of her father at an early age. On February 18, 1936 she was married to John F. Pavlish at Dickinson. They moved into Dickinson where they made their home and raised their family. Along with caring for her mother, she raised her three children. Elizabeth began working for the St. Benedict?s Nursing Home when it was on the south side of Dickinson and then The Dickinson Nursing Center which is now St. Benedict?s Health Center. Elizabeth worked in the food service area and ended up being in charge of the entire kitchen area. Elizabeth also worked at the old Elks Lodge and Western Livestock Yards, preparing meals. She always loved her flowers and had a green thumb to keep everything growing. She enjoyed getting together with her friends to play cards. Elizabeth especially loved having all the family at her home so that she could cook and prepare all of the meals and treat them to her cookies and candy. She was always a Prayer Warrior for her family. Elizabeth was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, St. Ann?s Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and the St. Anthony and German Hungarian Clubs. Survivors include a son, James (Joan) Pavlish of Spokane, WA; two daughters: Betty Ann (Fred) Fridley of Watford City and Kathleen Frances (Michael) Konkel of Virginia Beach, SC; nine grandchildren: Randy (Jennifer) Pavlish, Keldon (Marianne) Pavlish, Kathryn (Brian) Hansen, Nancy Fridley, Fred Jr. (Lisa) Fridley, Guy (Amber) Fridley, Jonathan Konkel, Jason Konkel and Jennifer Konkel; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John; an infant son, John who was a twin to James; four brothers and four sisters.
