She was born January 8, 1918 on the family farm in the Sheffield area, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Thomas) Kraiter. She grew up and attended country schools there. Elizabeth began helping out at the family home due to the death of her father at an early age. On February 18, 1936 she was married to John F. Pavlish at Dickinson. They moved into Dickinson where they made their home and raised their family. Along with caring for her mother, she raised her three children. Elizabeth especially loved having all the family at her home so that she could cook and prepare all of the meals and treat them to her cookies and candy. She was always a Prayer Warrior for her family. Elizabeth was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, St. Ann?s Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and the St. Anthony and German Hungarian Clubs.
