A Mass of Christian Burial for Ellen M. Gonsioroski, 92, of Baker, MT will be 10:00 a. m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at St. John?s Catholic Church in Baker, MT. Rite of Committal will follow in St. John?s Catholic Cemetery at Baker. Visitation will be 4:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. on Monday, August 27th at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 p. m. Ellen passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at the Fallon County Medical Complex Long Term Care Center in Baker, MT. Ellen Mary Gonsioroski was born on December 29, 1919, a daughter of George S. and Elizabeth (Pettit) Ferrel on the Ferrel homestead in Wills Creek north of Baker. She grew up on the family farm and attended the Sunny Ridge country school. At the young age of 16, Ellen fell in love with Frank Joseph Gonsioroski, and the two were married in Billings, MT on December 9, 1935. To this union Ellen and Frank were blessed with seven children: Frankie Jr. , Jerry, Albert, Vicky, Steve, Terry and Marty. Ellen and Frank farmed and ranched for many years until they moved into Baker so their kids could go to school. After moving into town, Ellen worked for a brief period at a motel. She enjoyed going to dances and listening to old time music. Ellen loved to cook. Her pride and joy was being a mother and wife. Ellen and Frank were married for 71 years before he passed away on May 1, 2006. Ellen is survived by her sister, Ruth Perry of Cheney, WA; four sons, Frank Jr. (Maravell) Gonsioroski, of Moxee City, WA, Jerry (Jean) Gonsioroski, Steve Gonsioroski, Marty (Susan) Gonsioroski, and one daughter, Vicky Gonsioroski, all of Baker, MT; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth; her husband, Frank; an infant son, Albert; her daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Jerry Wiseman; a grandson, Greg Gonsioroski; a great-great-granddaughter, Chezni Icopini; four brothers, Emil, Alley, Tommy and Charlie; two sisters, Dolly and Gen and her infant sister, Nina.
