Funeral services for Elsie Monson, 78, of Dickinson, ND will be 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father Jim Braaten officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson, ND. Visitation will be from 2:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, NDElsie passed away Sunday, July 05, 2009 at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson. Elsie M. Magelky was born June 1, 1931 to Peter and Anna (Bernhardt) Magelky in Dickinson, ND. She grew up on the family farm near Taylor, ND. She attended grades school in Taylor before moving with the family and graduating from High School in Dickinson. Over the years, Elsie made her home in various towns across North Dakota such as: Reeder, LauMoure, Williston, and Grand Forks. However, she always considered Dickinson her home. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her three sisters, Mildred Hoff, Richardton, ND; Helen Marsh, Dickinson, ND; Alice Paulson, Colorado Springs, CO; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, husband Walter Monson; brothers-in-law, Erin Hoff, Sam Marsh and LeRoy Paulson.
