Funeral Mass for Elsie Sadowsky, 88, of Killdeer, will be 10:00 a. m. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, Killdeer, with Father Darnus Selvanayakam celebrating. Burial will follow at Killdeer Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday, September 17, 2010, from 2:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home, Killdeer with a Prayer Service taking place at 6:00 p. m. Elsie passed away September 15, 2010, at Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer. Elsie was born September 17, 1921 in Stark County to Joseph and Barbara (Holz) Schabary. She grew up in the Lefor area where she attended Lefor High School, graduating in 1939. She attended Valley City School of Nursing and became a registered nurse. She practiced for 6 years in Dickinson, Williston, Seattle and Michigan. She specialized in OB always enjoying the babies. On September 24, 1947, she married Peter Sadowsky. Together they farmed and ranched and raised four beautiful children, Sue, Ev, Tony and Al. After retiring, they both moved to Killdeer and later to Dickinson. While residing in Dickinson, they moved into Park Avenue Villa and later Benedict Court. Due to failing health she made her home at Hill Top Home of Comfort. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts, baking and was known for her kolaches and caramel rolls. She loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandson. She is survived by two sons, Anthony (Kristie) of Beulah and Alvin of Killdeer; two daughters, Susan Ackerman of Bismarck and Evelyn ( Dale) Wahus of Watford City; one brother, Alex (Elsie) Schabary of Nashville, TN; three sisters, Ann ( John) Stein of Bismarck, Barbara Klein of Dickinson and Mae (Ray) Stein of Richardton; 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Bertha (Herb) Erbstoesser, three brothers-in-law Pete Klein, Dan Fleming and Bob Sadowsky and a sister-in-law Alice Fleming.
