A funeral Mass for Emilia Armbrust, 92, of Fargo, formerly of Dickinson and Belfield will be 9:30 a.m. MDT, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Shannon Lucht celebrating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson.
Visitation for Emilia will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. MDT, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with a rosary and vigil service taking place at 6:00 p.m. MDT.
Emilia passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at Villa Maria in Fargo.
Emilia Doris Stoltz was born September 22, 1924 in Dickinson, the daughter of George and Perpetua (Klein) Stoltz. She grew up on the family farm south of Dickinson and attended country school through the ninth grade. On June 11, 1947, Emilia and Fred Armbrust were united in marriage in Dickinson. To this union three children were born: David, Sandra and Darlene. Together, Emilia and Fred raised their family on a farm 16 miles north of Belfield. In 1982, the couple retired from farming and moved to Dickinson.
Emilia was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxilliary. She enjoyed spending time crocheting, making quilts and dolls, carving eggs, and other crafts. She always enjoyed helping Fred on the farm and planted large vegetable and flower gardens. Emilia was a tremendous cook and loved spending time in the kitchen.
Emilia is survived by a son, David (Dorothy) Armbrust of Belfield; daughters, Sandi Riehl of Mandan, and Darlene Kruger of Fargo; seven grandchildren, Karl (Becky) Riehl, Aundrea Riehl, Keri Riehl, Bryan (Wendy) Armbrust , Roxanne (Bill) Baker, Brianna (Alex) Asmus, and Alex Kruger; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Perpetua Stoltz; husband, Fred Armbrust; brothers, Florian, Peter, Leo, and George Stoltz; sister, Marion Anderson; and son-in-law, Steven Kruger.
