Emma Chalupnik, 87, Dickinson, died Friday, November 21, 2003, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. Tuesday, November 25, 2003, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. James Braaten celebrating. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be 3 p. m. to 9 p. m. Sunday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday from 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. at Price-Murphy Funeral Home with a rosary and prayer service at 7 p. m. Emma Sadowsky was born April 3, 1916, in Dunn County to Joseph J. and Minnie (Volesky) Sadowsky. She attended country school in Dunn County until the 8th grade. On October 16, 1944, Emma married Albert J. Chalupnik at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, New Hradec. They farmed until 1969, when they moved to Dickinson. Albert died July 15, 1982. Emma was a member of the New Hradec Rosary Society and the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She enjoyed cleaning house, baking and cooking. Emma is survived by: one son Alvin, Dickinson; one sister, Dorothy (Jerry) Bren, Dickinson; one brother, Edward Sadowsky, Dickinson. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; two sisters, Mildred Franchuk and Josie Buresh and two brothers, Charlie and Henry Sadowsky.
