Funeral Mass for Emma H. Dvorak, 91 of Dickinson, ND will be 10 a. m. , Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with Father James Shea celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. . Visitation will be 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. , Friday, January 16, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with a rosary service at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue on Friday one hour prior to the Funeral Mass at Queen of Peace Church. Emma passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson, NDEmma H. Dvorak was born on December 4, 1917 the daughter of Pete and Rose (Saetz) Dvorak on the family homestead in Dunn County. She grew up and attended the Iota School District. In her younger years Emma was a nanny for several families. Emma Dvorak was united in marriage to Stanley F. Dvorak on April 13, 1942 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson. Together they farmed and raised their son, Eugene. In her later years Emma worked at the Trinity High School Cafeteria serving lunch and dinners. She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, sewing, cooking and baking. Emma was always willing to help baby sit her nieces and nephews and always enjoyed it. Emma?s home was always open to anyone who stopped, whether it was game of cards or a hot meal, you never left her home hungry. She especially loved her grandchildren and now her great grandchildren as well, she followed all of them through their sports and 4-H activities. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, St. Ann?s Alter Society and Eagles Auxiliary. Emma is survived by her husband, Stanley, St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson, ND; her son, Gene (Shirley) Dickinson; four grandchildren, Wendi (Tim) Wiese and their children, Tienna and Tavani, Kodi (Martin) Anchondo and their children, Kalista, Mason and Alexander, Weston (Teresa) Dvorak and their twins, Audrey and Tessa and Kylee (Justin) Hartman and soon to be baby Hartman; two brothers, Edward E. (Margaret) Dvorak, Dickinson and David D. (Darlene) Dvorak, Manning, ND; two sisters, Minnie (Pete) Lefor, Dickinson and Agnes (Tony) Stockert, Dickinson and numerous nieces and nephews. Emma is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Henry, Albert and Laudie and two sisters, Mildred Kadrmas and Della Hibl.
