The Mass of Christian Burial for Emma Semerad, 92, Dickinson, will be 10 a. m. , Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at St Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jim Braaten celebrating. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be 1 p. m. to 9 p. m. , Monday, March 12, 2007, at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a rosary and vigil at 7 p. m. led by Deacon Bob Stockert. Emma passed away Thursday, March 1, 2007 at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. Emma Kostelecky was born on April 11, 1914, to Joe and Mary (Samek) Kostelecky. She was raised and attended school in rural Stark County. In 1933 she married Victor Semerad and in 1935 they moved to Dickinson where she resided until her passing. Emma devoted her life to caring for her husband and family. She enjoyed dancing, listening to old time music, baking, quilting, camping, fishing and playing cards. Her loving and caring nature will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to have shared her life. Grateful for having shared her life: daughter, Elaine (Jim) Warner ? Savage, Rapid City, SD; sons, Gary (Shirley) Semerad, Palm Desert, CA and Dennis (Lynn) Semerad, Quincy, IL; grandchildren, Dale (Laurie) Warner, Moorhead, MN, Kim (Gary) Williams, Colorado Springs, CO, Justin (Cathy) Semerad, Monett, MO, Heidi Semerad, Quincy, IL and Nichole (Tracy) Tooz, Dickinson; great grandchildren, Vickie and Tatum Warner, Casey and Andrea Williams, Joseph and Sophia Semerad and Braden and Keaton Tooz and one sister, Alice Semerad, Spokane, WA and many nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, parents, three brothers, three sisters, one son-in-law. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
