EmmaLynn Rose Ling passed away prematurely on Friday, June 1, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius Health in Dickinson.


EmmaLynn’s life brought us great joy, love, excitement, fear and strength. In this time we have come to realize that every single life, no matter how short or long, has proven to have such a great importance. A life is not measured by the length of time spent on the earth but how the life impacted others. EmmaLynn’s life made Joshua and Sasha parents for the first time. She extended a large family and her story will provide joy and hope in the future to know God is sovereign and He is in control. He fights for us even if we cannot see it right in front of us. He knows what is best.


EmmaLynn leaves behind her loving parents, Josh and Sasha Ling; maternal grandparents, Byron and Shelley Carter; maternal great grandparents, Bernice Carter and Arlow and Marcella Westby; paternal grandparents, David and Patty Ling; paternal great-grandparents, Byron and Gloria Ling; aunts, Sabrina Carter, Salina Carter, Jen Ling, Becky Heinle, Kristen (Adam) Allan, Stephanie Ling, Deanna (Drew) Linquist; uncles, Bruce Carter and Nathan Ling; and numerous extended family members.


She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Merle and Orlea McFadden, Rose Ling, and Bland Carter.
