Erma Holt

Funeral Services for Erma Holt, 74 of Dickinson will be 10:00 am Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Normanna Lutheran Church in Dunn Center. Burial will follow in the Dunn Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 27 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson. Visitation will continue on Friday, one hour prior to service at the churchErma Grace Holt was born May 5, 1930 at Hazen, ND, the daughter of Edward and Matilda (Ganton) Moore. She grew up and attended schools in Dunn Center, graduating from the Dunn Center High School in 1948. Erma worked in Dunn Center at the grocery store for several years. On July 8, 1951 she was married to Marven O. Holt at Dunn Center. Together they made their home in Dunn Center and Killdeer where they raised their family. Erma worked along with her husband at the Occident Elevator and later the Peavey Elevator Co. as a bookkeeper. In February 1969 the family moved to Dickinson where Erma made her home since. She enjoyed reading, crafts, cooking, embroidery and watching the Minnesota Twins baseball team. She especially loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren as well as her two cats, Pepsi and Tubby. Erma passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. Survivors include three sons: Tim ?Whitey? (Karen) Holt of Bismarck, Roger ?Doc? (Brenda) Holt of Dickinson and Terry Holt of Dickinson; two daughters: Marlene (Rollie) Schell of Minot and Ione (David C. ) Weiler of Dickinson; one sister, Fay Leiss of Dickinson; seven grandchildren: Jessica, Camille & Sara Schell, Nicole, Nathan (Lori), Cristin & Lance Weiler and a step granddaughter, HaleyShe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; three brothers: Ray, Eldon & Tom Moore; a sister, Lorraine Gilbertson and two nephews, Bruce and Eugene Gilbertson.
