Funeral service for Ervin Krueger, 96, of Hebron, will be 10:30 a.m. CDT, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at St. John Church in Hebron with Pastor Gaylund Olson officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Hebron.
Visitation for Ervin will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Visitation will continue 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, August 28th at the church.
Ervin passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 at Marian Manor Health Care Center in Glen Ullin, ND.
Ervin C. Krueger was born April 12, 1916 to Karl and Marie (Tollefson) Krueger on the family farm north of Hebron. He grew up here attending country school before graduating from Hebron High School. After graduation, Ervin continued to work with his parents on the farm, before taking over the operation. During this time Ervin met Emma Ding and the two were married on June 28, 1946 at St. John’s Church, Hebron. The couple returned to the Krueger farmstead and it was here where they made their home and raised their two children, Dwile and Marilyn. The couple lived in Hebron for several years until Emma passed away in 1993. Ervin returned to the farm until he moved into Marion Manor Health Care center in 2003. Ervin was a hard working Rancher and Farmer who truly loved the land and people. He never missed an opportunity to visit with his friends in town. Ervin loved the Lord and was active in St. John’s Church, serving on the church council as well as the local school board.
He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn (Adolph) Kisse, Richardton, ND; grandchildren, Todd Kisse, Michael Kisse, Chandler Krueger, Remington Krueger, and Karrissa Krueger; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah, Tanner, Jordyn, and Kadin; sister, Margie (Alfred) Underdahl, Glen Ullin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma; both of his parents, Karl and Marie; son, Dwile; sisters, Gladys Aller and Selma Gaub.
