Esther Pratt

A funeral service for Esther Rose Pratt, 84, of Dickinson, ND will take place later this spring. In accordance with Esther’s wishes, cremation has taken place with Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Dickinson, ND. Esther passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Vibra Healthcare in Mandan, ND. Esther Rose Harger was born September 12, 1930 in Pike County, Indiana, the daughter of Dewey and Etta Golden (Bolin) Harger. She grew up and graduated high school in Pike County. After graduation Esther married Victor Harper in Indiana. To this union three children were born: James, Jerry and Vickie. On January 25, 1960, Esther and Harold Pratt were married in Miles City, MT. The couple made their home in the Baker, Mt. area for many years before settling north of Dickinson. Esther enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, quilting, antique collecting and hosting her many friends and relatives into her home. Esther is survived by her husband, Harold; one son, James (Bobette) Harper of Greentown, IN; one daughter, Vickie (Jeff) Simons of Houston, TX; daughter-in-law, JoDee Pratt of Baker, MT; brothers, Harvey (Cheryl) Harger, Tom (Judy) Harger, Steven (Diane) Harger; one sister, Martha Merritt; seven grandchildren, Brian, Dan, Jill, Holly, Jennefer, Johnna and Heidi; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild . She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Pratt.
