A funeral service for Ethel C. Twogood “Randy”, 78, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a. m. , Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church in Dickinson with Pastor Cal Oraw officiating. Burial will take place at 3:00 p. m. CST at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan. Visitation for Ethel will be 2:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Monday, February 17, 2014 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Prayer service being held at 6:30 p. m. Ethel passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at Vibra Hospital in Mandan, ND. Ethel was born January 12, 1936 in Dickinson, the daughter of Morgan and Luella (Kesting) Sams. She grew up and attended Dickinson Public Schools, graduating from Queen Ann High School in Seattle, WA. On February 5, 1954, Ethel married Marvin F. Twogood in Seattle. Shortly after their marriage, the couple moved back to Dickinson. Ethel and Marvin were blessed with five children. After the children were in school, Ethel worked for the Dickinson Nursing Home. She also worked as a produce manager for many years at Joe’s Fairway and later as a deli manager at Bill’s Fairway. She also spent some time doing civic service, being an inspector of local election poll booths. Ethel loved reading, painting, ceramics, sewing and cooking. Ethel is survived by her children, Wayne (Bonnie) Twogood of Dickinson, Sandra (David) Williamson of Dolph, AR, Darren (Clarice) Twogood and Mark (Shanda) Twogood of Dickinson; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Betty Williams of Seattle, WA; brothers, Vernon Sams of Mandan; Raymond (Pearl) Sams of Helena, MT, and Tom (Sue) Sams of Seattle, WAShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin F. Twogood; daughter, Rhonda (Darrell) Chruszch; and granddaughter, Heather Jo Chruszch.
