Funeral Mass for Eugene ?Gene? A. Roshau, 96, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , Monday, December 17, 2007, at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church with Father Dennis Schafer celebrating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph? Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p. m. to 9 p. m. , Sunday at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue on Monday, from 8:00 a. m. to 9:00 a. m. at the Chapel. Gene passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007 at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson, ND. Eugene was born October 3, 1911, the son of Valentine and Mary (Armbrust) Roshau in Dunn County. He grew up and attended the Williams Country School in Dunn County. Gene worked on the home place until 1938. Eugene was married to Pauline Reisenauer on June 13, 1938 in Dickinson, ND. They continue to farm northwest of New Hradec until 1940 when they moved to Dickinson where they made their home since. Gene was a jack of all trades. He worked for the Burlington Rail Road, Lee?s Truck Stop, M & H gas station, Bogners Appliance and the Husky Briquetting Co. Gene retired in January 1, 1974 from Husky?s. He has spent the last two years at St. Benedict?s Health Center due to failing health. Gene enjoyed crocheting afghans, building miniature horse drawn wagons, loved growing flowers especially his climbing rose bush. Gene also enjoyed going to the casino and collecting coins. In his earlier years he went fishing and hunting with his family and friends. Gene was able to fix or repair anything and was always willing to help anybody with any problem. He especially loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was a past member of the Eagles and German Hungarian Club. Gene was a member of the St. Joseph?s Catholic Church. Survivors include, two daughters, Darlene (Don) Sanders, Dickinson, ND and Bonnie (Clyde) Kerner, Dickinson, ND; three sons, Donald (Dena) Roshau, San Jose, CA, Wayne Roshau, Des Moines, IA and Randy (Karen) Roshau, Dickinson, ND; six grandchildren, Teri Roshau, Susan Roshau, Garrick Roshau, Denise Roshau, Brandy (Mike) Jurgens and Kandace (Cory) King; seven great-grandchildren: Regan, Kendra, Colton, Janessa, Karla, Alexa and Kyara, three step-grandchildren: Shawn (Ricci Jean) Banyai, Shannon (James) Bottom, Michelle (Aaron) Norberg and six step-great-grandchildren: MyKayla, Kendell, Mckenna, William, Katie and Andrew. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pauline, one son, Gary, four brothers and five sisters.
