A funeral service for Eunice Frank, 63, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, Dickinson with Pastor Lisa Lewton and Pastor Joe Natwick officiating. Burial will be in Peace Cemetery near Beulah, ND. Visitation for Eunice will be from 2:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Monday, August 24, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a prayer service being held at 7:00 p. m. Eunice passed away at her home with her family by her side on Friday, August 21, 2015. Eunice Marie Gegelman was born January 15, 1952 in Hazen, ND, the daughter of Anton and Hertha (Wolf) Gegelman. She grew up and attended school in Alexander, graduating from Alexander High School in 1970. She went on to attend Dickinson State College where she received a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in Physical Education in 1974. Eunice began teaching 2nd grade at Jefferson Elementary and later Title I Education at Heart River Elementary School in Dickinson. On June 14, 1980, Eunice and Clyde M. Frank were united in marriage in Dickinson. To this union two sons were born: Scott and Tyler. She retired from teaching in May of 2007. Eunice was a recipient of the James West award from Rotary Club of Dickinson. Eunice was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of North Dakota Education Association. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and reading books from her library at home where anyone could find a book to read. Eunice was involved in her sons’ Boy Scouting programs over the years. Eunice was a very dedicated teacher and was always prepared for her class. She touched the lives of many students throughout the Dickinson community. She was devoted to raising her two sons and was always there for them. She enjoyed caring for animals; especially her cat Felix. Eunice is survived by her husband, Clyde of Dickinson; sons, Scott (Tosha) and Tyler (Jane) of Dickinson; sisters, Sharon (Glen) Bertsch of Bismarck and Sandy Rader of Fargo; sisters-in-law, Patricia Gegelman, Casselton, ND and Wendy Gegelman of Mendota Heights, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Randy and Larry and brother-in-law, Jim Rader. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Trust Fund, 146 6th Ave. W. Dickinson, ND 58601.
