The Mass of Christian Burial for Eva Goetz, 90, Dickinson, will be at 10:30 a. m. , Monday, March 19, 2007 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jeff Zwack celebrating. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth?s Cemetery, Lefor. Visitation will be 2 p. m. to 9 p. m. , Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a rosary and vigil at 4 p. m. Eva passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson after a courageous battle with cancer. Eva Kuhn was born in Stark County, ND to Joe and Anna (Staiger) Kuhn. She attended a local country school to the 8th grade and received a diploma from Dickinson Normal School. After her schooling she returned to the farm and helped raise her siblings. She married Carl H. Goetz at St. Stephens Church on October 18, 1938. They lived on a farm east of Lefor until Carl?s death in 1963. She moved to Dickinson and nannied for numerous families and helped with her grandchildren. Eva enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, cooking, gardening, reading and being with her family. She was a member of the German Hungarian Lodge and Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Eva is survived by: her children, Carl M. (Linda) Goetz, Woodland, WA, James J. Goetz, Dickinson, Karen A. (Nathan) Sorenson, Dickinson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Kuhn, Sacramento, CA; sister, Ann Schroeder, Sacramento, CA. ; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Rech, Dickinson, Evelyn Goetz, Richardton; one brother-in-law, Emil Portscheller, Sacramento, CA; and one aunt, Bertha Frank, Billings, MT. She was preceded in death by: parents; her husband, Carl; her daughter, Ellen and two brothers, Carl and Jack. Eva passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson.
