Funeral Mass for Eva Huck, 92, of Dickinson, ND will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, ND with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Entombment will follow in the Dickinson Mausoleum.
Visitation for Eva will be 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 at Stevenson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with a Rosary & Vigil service being held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Eva passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson.
Eva Magdalen Thomas was born December 23, 1919 in Glen Ullin, ND the daughter of Adam and Melchina (Hoerner) Thomas. She lived on the farm and went to school in the Glen Ullin area. Eva married Joseph Huck on October 14, 1941, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin, ND. Joseph and Eva lived on the Huck family farm near Schefield until September of 1967 when they sold the farm and moved to Dickinson. Eva was a loving wife and mother of ten children. Eva enjoyed gardening, needlework, playing cards, bingo and bowling. Eva was a member of Queen of Peace, St. Pius Verian and Christian Mothers.
Eva is survived by: three sons: Marvin (Janis) Huck, O’Fallon, MO; Alvin Huck, Roundup, MT; Duane (Kathy) Huck, Colorado Springs, CO; Seven daughters: Janette (Richard) Zalesky, Dickinson, ND; Gina (Ed) Karsky, Dickinson, ND; Gerri (Paul) Fleckenstein, Mandan, ND; Mary Ann (Wesley) Long, Bismarck, ND; Sharon (Irvin) Moos, Dickinson, ND; Paulette (Ervin) Barth, Dickinson, ND; Vernetta (Gene) Huether, Savage, MN; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; Sisters, Gertrude Emter, Glen Ullin, ND; Eleanor (Leo) Stockert, Dickinson, ND; and Helen (John) Bechtold, Glen Ullin, ND.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; Husband, Joseph Huck; Brothers: John Thomas, Marcus Thomas, Nick Thomas, Joseph Thomas; Sisters, Irene Thomas and Clementine Lawrence; a Grandson, Granddaughter, Great-Grandson and Son-in-law.
