Eva Riedl

Funeral Service for Eva Riedl, 96, of Dickinson are 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Jerry Kautzman celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph?s Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation is 10:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. , Tuesday, January 31, 2006, with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson. Eva passed away Sunday, January 30, 2006 at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson. Eva Riedl was born May 3, 1909 the second oldest of twelve children to Louis and Katherine (Sharick) Riedl. She grew up on the family homestead in the St. Stephens area, and attended country school in the Hebron and Richardton areas. Eva later moved to Dickinson with her family and she began to work at the local hotels. Eva continued to make Dickinson her home where she raised her two sons: Robert and Richard. She then started working at the City Cleaners Dry Cleaning where she worked for many years until her retirement. Eva enjoyed playing cards, and figuring out crossword puzzles. She was a very good seamstress and she had a love for sewing. She also took pleasure in going to dances, especially in her younger years. She is survived by three brothers: Edward (Frances) Riedl, Dickinson, ND, Louis (Luella) Riedl, Dickinson, ND, Raymond (Evelyn) Riedl, Suncity West, AZ; one sister: Clara Lamprecht, Dickinson, ND; one sister-in-law Shirley Riedl, Billings, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded by: her parents; two sons: Robert and Richard Riedl; five brothers: Nick, Joseph, John, Anton, Cornelius Riedl; two sisters: Anna Schneider and Katherine Mulkern.
