Funeral Mass for Eva M. Scholz, 87, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , Monday, January 31, 2011 at St. Stephen?s Catholic Church south of Richardton with Father Boniface Muggli, O. S. B. and Abbot Brian Wangler, O. S. B. con-celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Stephen?s Cemetery. Visitation for Eva will be from 10:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. , Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Rosary and Vigil service taking place at 2:00 p. m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service at St. Stephen?s Catholic Church. Eva passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. Eva M. Herauf was born September 22, 1923 on the family farm near Dodge, the daughter of Peter and Theresa (Kopp) Herauf. She grew up on the family farm and attended St. Joseph?s Grade School in Dickinson graduating from Dickinson Central High School in 1943. While working for the S & L Department Store she met future husband, John Scholz. Eva and John were united in marriage on June 12, 1952 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Dickinson. After their marriage, they moved to the Scholz family farm 13 miles south and three miles west of Richardton. They farmed the land and raised Hereford cattle all of their married life. Eva and John retired from farming in 1984 but continued to live on the farm. In November 1999, Eva built a home in Dickinson and resided there until making her home at St. Benedict?s Health Center. Eva enjoyed doing puzzles and needle work. She especially loved her dogs and cats, always needing to know if they were doing ok. Eva was a member of the St. Stephens Catholic Church, helping out in any way possible. She enjoyed gardening and was very proud of her flower garden. Eva is survived by and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, Peter and Theresa Herauf; one brother, Leonard Herauf and eight sisters, Ottilia Fleckinstien, Francis Herauf, Kathryn Frank, Rose Herauf, Monica Smith, Christine Perlozny, Betty Herauf and her twin sister, Eugenia ?Penny? Grandstaff.
